Local Search: Google Update09 Apr
When Monday rolled around I could here that old Cypress Hill hook going off in my head, “I think I’m going crazy…” as my friends who try to do their own SEO and sometimes choose to ignore my advice and instead choose to waste their time with flash-pan marketing tactics began calling me saying their sites have dropped off Google. Hmm. Am I venting a little? Yes. Am I reveling inside because I knew I was right? Absolutely.
I told you this day was coming, I announced it in my post on March 3rd “Big Brother: Behavioral Tracking.” Google has let the world know it will be in the business of telling you you’re really looking for. It’s no longer an assumption, it is official.
Localized search is the new playground for marketers. SEO insiders have been predicting localized search algorithms for a long time now, Google has been refining it for even longer. Take a look at the date on their patent for Ranking search results by reranking the results based on local inter-connectivity. There are several ways, none of which I will share with you unless you sign up for our services of course! But really, the “tricks” on doing this should be obvious. I’ll hang one out there. Register your website with a local directory!
Now, if this sounds alien to you then by all means please contact us for our services. We’ve been preparing for this for several years and know what it takes to dominate local search results and stomp the competition.
